@ Nathan – thanks for the comments and the kind words. I realize that purple isn’t high on the list of many designer’s lists, but it’s an old fave of mine going back to the purple and teal overkill of the early 90s. Managed to get rid of the teal though.

I have to agree with David, dropping the house was the right move – as hard as i’m sure it was. Although I’m not a fan of the colors in the rendered look, I think the black base design (with no cog around the outside) is hotter than hotcakes.

Sigh. No house? I understand your logic branding-wise, for potential clients and communicating your message. As you said tho’, ‘the house” hasn’t disappeared completely, and I too, empathize with your sentiment. But, the new work does exactly that: it works. Seeing it in action on the new letterhead and business card justifies your decision.
Now, Mr. D, be strong, you’ve got a successful business to run and conquer new challenges! God speed!

@ Anlina. Glad you like. Must admit, I was a little apprehensive about designing our new logo “in the open” but it turned out to be a fun exercise. I know you’ve been following this ‘saga’ from the hop so thanks once again, for taking the time to comment. Truly appreciated.
