Thanks so much! I’ve been looking for tutorials on how to do this. I never even heard of Swift3D before this. Which is kind of shocking to me seeing as how I read a lot of articles and tutorials and went to college for design. This is so helpful! Does Swift 3D do transparent background colors though?

I am getting lost once i import to library, for some reason after i publish i dont have the spin in a gif format..

There are some discripancies in the spinnig.
Check it again and realised it, moving and restarting

Brilliant Steve, well done. Nice detailed tutorial as well. I like how the image is so crisp when it spins. I have created something similar using flash except it is a spinning globe. masterev’s last blog post..Flash Tutorials (Canada Map )

Hey Ryan – good to see you here again and thanks for the kind words.

A series of instructional videos is already in the works – a lot of The Logo Factor material is kind of a ‘holding tank’ for many of our ideas and rough ‘scripts’. As videos take a long time to produce, we haven’t been able to devote sufficient time to finish them up – day-to-day at the shop monopolizes most of my time, and I work on instructional material whenever I can a few spare hours here-and-there. Having said that, we’ll probably release some podcasts in the next week or so, with a couple of videos in about a month.

We’ll post news on the blog when we’re closer to completion.

Awesome, awesome tutorial Steve!

I always loved how The Logo Factory did 3D animations of their logos and often wondered how it’s done. Thanks for taking the time to post this.

You should turn this into an instructional video and put it up on You Tube!
