Granite Communications logo

While it might seem like most of our logos, at least those featured on our website, are made up of cartoon, whimsical or illustrative treatments, I should probably take this opportunity to point out our designers are quite capable of designing corporate and fairly simple logos too. Trouble is, my background is in illustration and I tend to favor illustrative designs when adding them to our blog and portfolios, often to the chagrin of the gang at the shop. Case in point – this nice little iconic treatment for Granite Communications featuring a simple graphical exclamation point icon as the central focus. Rather than working up a logo that featured some sort of illustrative rock or cement elements, we decided to invoke a sense of dimension with some carefully placed line work and use of negative space. See, while some of the work we’ll show you involves bionic monkeys, The Logo Factory staff are quite adept at producing serious stuff too. Though you gotta admit, bionic monkeys are more fun. Oh yeah, before I forget – you can view this Daily Logo in use at the Granite Communications website.
