Well then what about fonts? If a company decides to brand a font in their logo is it then off limits to the rest of the world?
Unless everyone starts creating their own for every project then everyone has done this.

It gets better, he's written a book called 'Freelance Dream'. PS: You won't be disappointed! If I had something like this in my early days as a freelancer I could have avoided costly mistakes and made so much more money in the beginning.
