The 2009 version of the WOLDA awards (Worldwide Logo Design Annual) is now accepting entries (those of you who are in the know can skip the preamble and get down to the nitty-gritty at bottom). WOLDA’s a fairly high-profile logo design competition where graphic designers can enter their various designs and trademarks for publication in the prestigous WOLDA Annual and a hefty mention on the organization’s website (you can view the 2008 winners one the site’s home page). You can get all the entry information here.
This year, WOLDA has added a Facebook page into their marketing mix and are offering a 10% on entry fees and purchase of any of old WOLDA annuals, as well as the 2009 upcoming volumes. You can also discuss the various logos entered, make your opinions known to the judges (“I wuz robbed!”) and other Facebooky things (though the comment section seems to be rife with spammers at the moment). Probably shouldn’t do this, but if you can’t be bothered logging into Facebook, simply enter the discount code ‘wolfriends’ in any submission form.
For what it’s worth, you can read about previous WOLDA competitions here.
