Beijing Olympics LogoNow that the catterwalling about the 2012 London Olympic Logo has (somewhat) died down, we can now turn attention to the 2008 Beijing Olympics Logo pictured at right. Not a bad little graphic and quite worthy of representing The Games. If you can get over China’s atrocious record of human rights abuses (which I don’t think I’m going to, anytime soon). Not to mention the lead in the chillen’s toys, and the paint on kids’ beads that was the chemical equivalent of a date rape drug. Seems Jason Clark is of a like mind as he reveals the inspiration for the 2008 Beijing Olympics logo. Alas, he’s probably only half kidding. Ah, I remember the good old days, when countries would boycott The Games for human rights reasons. Now, there’s way too much money involved – strange really, for an event that is supposed to celebrate amateur sports…
