Wow. I am breathless.

I've been in this business for 30 years, and it NEVER ceases to amaze me how UNcommon common sense is. I've been a graphic designer, creative director, studio owner, reasonable person, and brain-bearing human being for so long....it is astounding (especially after reading the response letter) to me that ANYONE in a "creative biz" would have the ignorance to run a template website. I guarantee...if I were you, (and I actually have been, so to speak) I would have initially wanted to call out the cavalry and anyone else who wanted to help me TORCH his/her ass! How much more irritating could the instance BE?? FOR SURE this biz believed they'd never be compared to existing art. And INSULTING? $15? As long as they were being dishonest anyway, why not go for the gold and charge $30 <---(sarcasm included here). These guys could care less about anyone but themselves. They have no idea the amount of
sweat and tears goes into identity programs. Typically, in my studio, the cleaner and simpler a logo is, the more time it
takes to weed out all the brik-a-brak that whirls about in the creation process.

Unfortunately, this kind of outright plagerism (high class word for STEALING) happens daily. All we can do as professionals is uphold what we know is right. We can't cure ignorance, but we can hold hope in a phrase my Dad used to say..."Time Wounds All Heels"! Oh yes...it's true.

All the best to you and your upstanding business ventures,
Marla
