Inset Design 1 – Velocity Quest Software Manufacturer. Another example from the archives. The Velocity Quest brand workup is a perfect example of understated simplicity, with the art communicating all of the clients requirements with a few simple shapes and a well designed logo font treatment. We even tossed out any color in this design, preferring to let the graphic stand on its own. An example of a mark that’s held together by its visual strength rather than relying on blends, shadows or other design gimmicks. When it comes to visual communication, sometimes simple really is better.
Inset Logo 2 – One of the original globe and swoosh designs, the Global Automation artwork is a real blast from the past but is still effective enough to remain in our collection of favorite graphic design projects. Created in 1996, it was a forerunner of the globe and swoosh phenomenon, yet remains clean and elegant enough to work after the fad had passed. Remains a staff favorite and was designed by TLF founder Steve Douglas in the original Logo Factory. See here for our staff logo software picks.
