Pharmacy logo – We Care Pharmacy.

Behind the Design Scenes: There are some of the logos featured in our gallery that remain staff faves. A brand development project that just went ‘right’. Or perhaps a creative proces where the client accepted the designer consultation, resulting in a non-traditional approach to a particular image. There are even those rare projects where everything seems to fall into place, almost by accident, and what could have been a middle of the road project turns into a fairly dynamic one.

Such was the case with We Care Pharmacy, a 2001 brand development poject for a small, community based pharmaceutical drug store. The client supplied us with some pretty typical health icons – some heart logos and some apple logos (an apple a day keeps the doctor away). Gave our designers an ‘eye roll’ until someone, after a series of fairly nondescript attempts, came up with the unique approach. “Let’s combine the apple and the heart”. This hybrid approach resulted in the icon you see here – a hand drawn approach that still fit into the original project brief. The red and blue color scheme were part of the original project submission, but once applied to the font and icon, worked out quite well. This design is very simple and applicable to a wide range of media and pharmaceutical marketing materials. We Care Pharmacy was also featured in our archives as an example of a pharmacy & drug store logo.
