Cartoon logo design.
Whimsical, character driven logos. Not for everyone...

The Logo Factory Knowledge BaseCartoon logos are not for every application, company or business and if desired, should be approached with some caution. A cartoon logo development must be tailored carefully to the market segment, theme and marketing plans of the business or company depicted. There are times when a cartoonish logo is not only inappropriate, but could be downright damaging to the business depicted. It's hard to imagine a bank, accountant or a financial planning company with a cartoon as their mascot - that image would hardly inspire an aura of strength, stability or financial reliability. In other cases, a cartoon-based logo is not only appropriate, but demanded, especially when trying to demonstrate unorthodox ideas or concepts or marketing to a particular group of people - the youth market, for instance, is one such example. Character and mascot logos, if well-developed, have the additional benefits of being adaptable to various environments and situations. The character can be brought to life and placed in various business related situations to demonstrate various tasks, or illustrate aspects of the featured company or service. Cartoon and mascot logos also have the added benefit of being very popular on T-shirts and other premium incentive material. As such, cartoon and mascot logos are very common with bars and nightclubs - especially those who are marketing to a younger audience. Sports team logos featuring mascots and cartoons are also very popular. While many of the logos portrayed below and above are four color logos, due to their inherent linear nature, most cartoon logos can also be developed into spot or one color designs. You'll find more examples of cartoon-themed designs and logo samples in our main galleries.
