This illustration, by The Logo Factory founder Steve Douglas, is a personal work that began life as an illustration of another cartoon character - Buzz Lightyear - but morphed (quite by accident) into the version you see here, complete with bullets and sinister minions hanging out in the underbrush. A fun piece, added to our illustrative samples just to show another possibility when developing artwork for your marketing and advertising activities. Creating character studies like this isn't easy, but when executed well, can add an entirely new dimension to art and design. Unlike the techniques outlined in our anatomy of an illustrative logo, this sketch began life in the computer, a result of mouse-doodling with Adobe Illustrator.
