The poster design examples shown above show two completely different approaches that our designers can take when developing a poster for a client. The photographic posters (Left & Right) were designed for the Radiological Technology Week - a symposium and conference for medical professionals. These two posters featured the use of photography as the main visual focus. Images were supplied by the client (including the x-rays and medical images) which where then assembled with the background photographs in Photoshop. As these posters were physically quite large, the file sizes for the artwork were in the 100s of MBS. Using ghosting and other pixel format special effects, our designers were able to create memorable posters that clearly outlined the even details. On the opposite end of the size spectrum, the poster for IMS 2007 (The International Microwave Symposium - the premier conference of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S), featuring a large trade show as well as a wide variety of technical papers and workshops) remained in vector format so it was appreciably smaller and able too be delivered to the client via e-mail.

About: This icon was developed in 1997 by TLF founder Steve Douglas as part of a self-promotional poster and was also used in a tri-fold brochure design. The icon was later featured in an exhibition of 'new media' design and added to a limited run poster advertising the event. Unfortunately, the design is a little dated now, primarily to the type of plug - now obsolete - that was used. Still, the woodcut style is still fairly nifty and someone might have some website or other use for this oldie but goodie. Download Free Logos here.
