The Logo Factory was onboard for many levels of NeoTool Software Development's corporate identity evolution, from the logo design (pictured at left), to the creation of many of the company's visual and graphic assets - including the series of HL7 icons (above). Designing icons is an art all in itself - the icons have to portray an idea, activity or function (at times these functions and concepts are wildly abstract), yet the icon has to 'fit' into the general corporate identity system of the company. If these weren't enough parameters to work with, the icons also have to be simple enough to reproduce at small sizes (the icons above were added to the function bar of NeoTool's developer toolsets). If the icons are originally designed in vector file formats (as these were) they can also be used throughout marketing and advertising material as visual accents.
