Team TomLaw - The Red Swarm: We developed this corporate logo design identity for a Toronto based Basketball Team that represents their law firm sponsor. Like many sports logos, this design featured a mascor - a wasp (suggested by the 'Red Swarm' tag line). Once the logo was completed the client wanted us to develop an animation for use on web sites, movies and as screensavers. In order for the animation to be effective, the wasp needed to flit about rapidly (rather than slide from one end to the other - an animation technique known as 'tweening'). To accomplish this, we created a series of wing 'motion blurs' - single frame pixel based images - which when added to the animation gave the effect of extremely fast movement, without appreciable file size increase (all told, the file weighs in at under 20k). The rest of the logo was animated in typical flash fashion which kept this project within the parameters of a Logo Lick budget (pricing)

Flash Logos.

When our staff were first developing our logo animation service menus, we were tempted to refer to our Flash Logo Licks as a 'basic' flash animation. Or even a 'quick and dirty' flash solution. Trouble is, our Flash Logo Licks aren't either but rather, quick loading, stand alone animations of business logos that are long on 'wow' and short on budget. Does your project qualify for a Logo Lick treatment? That all depends on a number of factors: 1) The complexity of your logo. If your logo is extremely complex or features photo blends, we may have to perform some pre-production work in order to get your logo Flash 'ready', and 2) The complexity of your planned animation. While we can perform some 3D animation (see below for some examples) more complex 3D treatments will require the purchase of an Advanced Flash package (pricing).
