While the logo design for Speedtronic Sports is a 4-color process design (left), when it came to creating the brochure for the actual product (a hockey puck that measures how fast it's actually traveling) it was decided to cut costs on the initial print run. As the brochures were to be printed in French & English (French example above), a four or even spot color print run, with the required plate changes for the various languages, would have been cost prohibitive. Accordingly, the 16 panel brochure was set up as a black print imposition so that the brochure could be printed in one pass. Despite it's relative simplicity from a technical stand-point, our designers used tones, screens and some spot illustrations to give the piece a professional look.
