As many of our clients are in startup mode, it's often the case that the logo design for their new company is but the beginning of the branding process. Such was the case for the AltraSoftsoftware company, an open source development firm that first came to the The Logo Factory back in 1996. As the company were still very much in the infancy stage, they didn't want an icon that pigeon-holed them to this or that theme. The client wanted their logo to be as abstract as possible, yet still somehow indicate that they were a hub of activity, involved in the high-tech industry, yet still remain adaptable as the company evolved and developed. To accomplish this, our designers created an extremely simple (technically) icon that meant to encapsulate all the client's preamble. Once we had developed the logo, we also created all AltraSoft's product manuals and brochures, a small sample shown above.
