The logo for To Go Chefs ended up being treated as a cartoon logo (though that wasn't the direction the client had originally intended). Before we were able to develop the logo design as a complete work, our designers first had to develop the chef character through a series of preliminary sketches which were then previewed by the client until we had an appropriate treatment. Once the character was developed, our designers could then add the realistically rendered globe and typography. As the logo was to appear on dark backgrounds (see brochure above) we also had to create versions with key lines - white 'outlines' that help separate the design from darker color fields.
