About: A logo design for Public Image – a messaging management and design company specializing in the business and theater arts industry. Assists companies in developing markting concepts and ideas tailored to specific audiences, and execute all aspects of their meetings, tradeshows, and special events.

Logo Brief: “Our company mission – Acting as a marketing consultant, to give a designated audience, (corporate marketing, communications executives and meeting planners) a specific mindset “.

The client wanted a logo design that invoked a sense of complete capability when it involves any form of special events and trade shows, with the prerequisite, and often complicated, planning involved. As a new and VERY ambitious company, Public Image believes there is no project that is beyond their skill set, and wanted their corporate identity to portray this without any of the ‘yay – we can do it’ business seminar 101 drivel that so many corporate executives find a turnoff. They were also looking for a design that was elegant, sophisticated, yet still “artistic” and high concept. Based in Georgia, Public Image wanted to create a trendy Madison Avenue/Wall Street ‘look’ while still remaining “atypical, stylish and dynamic”. To fulfill the project brief our designers created a very simple icon, developed in a hand-drawn style as not to appear ‘too slick and ‘cookie cutter’. An atypical serif font was selected, in order to compliment the icon, and a subtle monochrome blue color scheme completed the overall ‘look and feel’. The tag line – ‘meetings, trade shows and special events’ was added, using an unassuming sans-serif font in order to retain readability and clarity. Added to the logo, the tag line spells out EXACTLY what the company does, without interfering with the overall design aspects of the design.
