About: Logo design for The Frog Pond Landscaping Company. Frog Pond recently changed their name (from Southern Green), and were looking for a new corporate identity to go along with the switch. Their new name was perfect for an illustrative logo design treatment, and the letterhead design featured four color process printing and edge-to-edge printing for maximum impact.

Logo Brief: The Frog Pond’s main focus is creating custom made ponds and water features using exclusively Aquascape Designs pond kits, while still offering the full variety of landscape services their former company always has. “Our customers will be as diverse as the metro-Atlanta area is, but typically upper-middle class and up homeowners. Professionals, doctors, lawyers, business owners, etc. 40+ in age. Buzzwords for these ponds and landscapes are natural, peaceful, harmony with Mother Nature, relaxing, sounds of running water. Initially we tried to design a logo with a frog, a pond and a waterfall but all the clip art, and our results, looked like SH*%!! ‘The Frog Pond’ logo obviously needs a frog and a pond, but we’re open to anything. I want a design that has the limitless possibilities that we see in this new direction in our business.” Strangely enough, this was not the first design we had developed showcasing frogs (nor, we suspect, will it be our last).
