About: Logo design for Networx Online. Company provides internet, computer and software technology solutions to the network marketing (mlm) industry.

Logo Brief: While Networx Online were not 100% sure what they wanted in their new logo design, they were very sure about what they didn’t want – namely a swoosh logo (all the rage in the 1990s). Following this project brief, our logo creators stayed away from that particular design theme, deciding instead to blend the human and technology elements of the company into a nifty icon that is both humanist and technological. The font treatment (often overlooked in many designs) featured a wide kern (spaces between the letters) in order to give the overall image a clean, hi-tech look. Letter spacing and fontography is both an art and a science, and one that can never be over emphasized. Too often, logos are also created without ANY thought towards practical applications. What may look wonderful on a monitor may not translate in to real-world usage. At TLF our logo design artists are keenly aware that logos need to be used in all manner of applications, both high and low resolution, and are capable of creating logos and variants that are practical as well as graphically engaging.

Networx Online were planning to distribute a lot of their material via FAX and needed a suitably low resolution, one color version (main) but the logo also had to work in Black and White (inset).
